After getting my Lancer, I'm starting to look at exhaust kits, but I need to know what I can do to make my car faster but not put too much on the engine at once. I was thinking maybe an intake that could add maybe 10HP and maybe 8lbs of torque, or just anything to give it that little boost every speedster wants.

Turbos will have to come much later, still needs more work

Pretty sure your best bet is hair gel and a mean expression...performance company stickers make you go fast too

I would defer to Pugsport on the subject of cars but intake/exhaust mods always should be balanced,if you do one side you need to do the other...

Chips or computers mods can give you a little ..cold air intake...high flow airfilter...if you start fooling with intake manifolds ,you will need to go the whole route of exhaust headers etc..

Fishy, your best bet is to join a Mitsubishi forum. You'll learn tremendously about your car and the folks there will give you a better idea on what exactly will make your car go faster.

The awesome thing about a car forum is the people. If you find the right forum, and living in SoCal, you'll more than likely have folks setting up car meets. Those are tons of fun! The peeps, the caravans going to car meets, racetracks. Man, I miss those days!
