Are there PC's for 250$? Maybe used ones.... You won't get a good PC for 250$...

You said you wanted a gaming pc- do you know the specs of what you're using right now? For $250 I'm thinking you should go with a video card upgrade.

GPU upgrade isn't going to mean much if his parents outdated PC has a weak power supply, weak CPU or a MOBO that can't support a modern GPU.

^ Yes I know, that's why I wanted to see if he knew the specs. For $250 it might be wiser to go with some upgrades, just need to know what he's working with now to give him all his options. If his parent's system isn't too 'weak' he may get a better gaming experience with an upgrade- just trying to ensure he gets the best for his money.

Otherwise I'm willing to put together something for you that would be under $300.

I'm using a: HP-Pavilion, AMD Athlon 64 x2 dual core 6000+ ~3.0ghz, 3072 RAM< Directx 11, Nidia Geforce GT 430 video card
I'm at 1024x768m resolution with 70-90 FPS. All for 300 dollars.

Sorry but 250 dollars isn't going to get you anywhere close to a gaming rig, you'd be lucky if you got a computer that can run youtube videos on high def for that lmao.
