Anyone ever use that site to create a website.. I am a complete NUB when it comes to website design, but was asked to make one for a company. So, any help would be appreciated if you have steam you can add me :).. dmz2906

Those are very basic as they use simple templates. What kind of website do they want? Something to sell? Just any website that has information about the site?

Neither do I. It requires a bunch of CSS knowledge and know how.

Do you have any of Adobe's software (CS6)? You'll need some of that to probably make something professional looking.

lol Typical GoDaddy anyway. They oversell and don't be surprised if the site seems slow or is down from time to time. I've heard bad reviews about godaddy but then again, usually only the folks that have bad reviews post. I've only used GoDaddy to buy domains, nothing else.

Once you have your site the way you like, be sure to make weekly backups if things on there don't change too much. If they change often, I would suggest daily backups as I'm fairly certain GoDaddy doesn't come with automatic backups.

If there's no rush, I'd suggest you to try it out and see if you can do it. If it's something that's needed soon, then yeah, get someone with experience to do it.

I'm not creative at these things, that's why I've never been into website designing. Some folks just have the eye for it; Joona, Take & Tito come to mind.

Just something simple like that site i linked prior, but had those buttons to have all the diffferent services they have.. the GoDaddy Templates just look cheaply made, or like an old school site.

There is a free program I always use for web site building called NVU. It's a WYSIWYG page builder, meaning you can go from the coding right to the preview to check your progress. There are also several sites that help out with the tabs and the css. Sorry I dont have the sites bookmarked on my laptop

BTW.. Go Daddy web building tools are clunky and crappy

i would offer to build you a basic website but i could see it would be hard work and hard to manage with no knowledge of html and css

if you get stuck i will be willing to help out but ive got a fair amount of my own stuff going on at the moment (but i will always try and help)

i built a website not to long back for a local indian restaurant ( http://thekohinoor.org.uk/ ) pretty basic but thats what they wanted so thats what they got.

also starting to making a website for my other business
