So, you may not have realised I was away, but I have been on cycling tour for a week and forgot to make a thread. Plus I thought I would have more internet, but that is Wales for you. So, quite a lot of miles and some steep mountains later, I am back, and my legs feel gooood.

Here is a photo from the Black Mountain climb. Do not know how or why I was smiling, had just climbed a 20% gradient hill (in parts):

I used to when I was younger (I say like I'm an old man), but I now seem to have discovered my mortality, I find ice-skating and roller-blading way more terrifying now, at least initially.

Very nice! How many miles/km was your tour?

And I kinda misplaced my bike, any care to help me find it? It looks something like:

Lol. Umm, not too long as neither me or my friend have many miles under our belts this season. Did about 80 miles each day for 5 days. We are preparing for some races in the summer, a big tour in France, and cycling the length of England for charity. Mountains make me cry though.

12 miles is pretty damn good if you are on a mountain bike. I used to cycle 12 miles on a full suspension steel bike to work every day, man that was tough. As you can see, we use those light weight cheaty bikes with tiny tires and feet clipped in. Makes it soooo much easier.

Plus, my friend is riding round the world right now, and puts me to shame. He was in uzbekistan and had 52 hours to get from one border to t'other. Cycled 350km in 48 hours, on a touring bike, carrying tent, all clothing and food etc. Now that is some serious going!
