How many of you guys with Optifine have tried Multi-Core rendering? I finally activated it and now the world renders 3x faster with stable FPS.
There is a bit of a hiccup with NVIDIA cards, though stuff flickers madly while the world renders. Fortunately, it's an easy fix:
1. In Manage 3D settings from the NVIDIA control panel, make a new profile for javaw.exe in the Program Settings tab (javaw.exe is in C: \Windows\System32)
2. Set Threaded Optimization to Off
When it renders for me, it always renders at the horizon, so not more running into unrendered zones
Hope it helps anyone that has been having laggy rendering
