I just got my order of my new (well, used) headset that I ordered on Amazon. They are Logitech G35s.

They have 7.1 surround sound built in to them which sounds great. And before any of you professional audio "you know nothing because I went to school" people come in here, No the surround sound does not sound artificial.

I got them used for a little under half price from "DirectDeals4U" which comes to only about $65. I got them a couple days before I was supposed to.

It is a USB headset which I like.

I also like the volume controls on the side, the mute mic button and how I can change the headset from surround sound to stereo. I could've done without the "G Keys" on the left headphone but they don't bother me. I don't use them anyway.

Here's a link to directdeals4u since I am very happy with this headset and recommend them if you buy anything used.

And here is a link to used G35s:

I don't think anyone here went to school for acoustics.

However, as a gaming headset, made only for gaming, you're not too concerned with audio fidelity, anyway, so pumping it up with lots of surround sound that might not be the best "audio quality" isn't a bad thing. Besides, I feel like most people would want specific freq. pumped up anyway for cod and such (footsteps, reload sounds, talking). These things would make it impossible for audio clarity and balance, yet make gameplay easier.

So it's a different animal, nick. Good buy, imo.

I was playing on S1 and knew exactly what direction people were walking in. Also, cod4 only has 5.1 available but it's also fine.
