Ok, so everyone's been a noob right?

Some servers don't like noobs, because to even get a kill they have to resort to tubes or marty. Of course, these "other" servers have players that were all born elite gamers.

Our servers we welcome noobs. If you need to camp in the hallway, fine. I find them fun anyway as it gives me a targetted objective. I remember having to hide in the corner to rack up enough kills to get a decent weapon attachment. Been a long time since I was a noob. The first online 3d shooter I played was 1996. Some of you were still pissing in your pants back then.

Fast forward to today (or the other day). Bolts server. Ping - 350. Ability to actually hit anything. Fuck all. I was back to being a noob. No M21 class. Out with the G3. Was I pwning with the G3? No way, no how. I was still getting my ass handed to me, but Walter had turned B3 back on so I knew I would get 3 kills before it was all over red rover. So some time for a bit of fun.

Now, let's pretend for a minute that California's motor cycle licensing laws are the same as Oz. Paige gets her learners permit. She's limited to 70kph had has to wear L plates (bright yellow with a black L, to let peeps know she is a Learner)(if the Roads and Traffic Authority were gamers they would be N plates). So here she is motoring down the freeway (speed limit 110kph). Would it be appropriate to have everyone blasting their horn and hanging out the window saying "GTF off the road noob!" Prolly not. About as exciting as being victimised for being in a minority group. Or two groups. A female gamer AND gay.

Now, I have the utmost respect for Paige. And I have no tolerance for idiots that think she should get treated any different for being what she is. And Paige does a lot of great work for the Krew. This thread is not about Paige bashing. Let's get that straight right now. This is about tolerance.

I love gaming. I play whenever I get the chance. The good thing about Krew servers is they are clean. We don't get a lot of retards that TK half the spawn with an RPG (S&D) or just sit and spam the chat with abuse or random shit. Or if we do, they are treated swiftly and harshly. Trouble is, the NY servers are about as far away as humanly possible from me as they can get. So, get on COD, and add the internet to the server list and pick a server with a ping of 350. Play for a while. If you can even join. Then judge. I have a new KKK profile so I can re-do the challenges so at least I can have a bit of fun. I was actually heading for the roof of the sniper building in Crash to do Base Jump when I got kicked. It was grand.

It seems lately no-one plays anymore. Well, I don't normally count S1. And the Krew has essentially become a NY clan. We used to have some kick ass matches on SAB night. Awesome gaming. It just doesn't seem to happen anymore. I can play with a 150-180 ping easy. 350 is over the top though. So, it's back to being a noob for me. I don't have forum access at work anymore either. So sometimes I wonder if it's all too much. I dunno. Makes me sad really. If I have to resort to noobishness or goofing off it's because the other choice is to chuck it in.

Just ordered me a new kick ass video card to go with my copy of MoH Warfighter, and BO II, and Far Cry 3 are around the corner, so at least I can play with myself. Hmmm, play with myself. Maybe there's more to the internet that games?

I don't understand what this post is about really. Its kinda all over the place. What was the point of this post? Is it really about being a noob? What was the point of talking about paige? Are you complaining about ping or the amount of players on? You have to resort to noobishness why? I seriously don't understand the point of this post other then the fact that you seem bored with cod. If you weren't bolting in the bolt server when you knew the rules, that isn't being noobish - thats being an asshole.

Its November: a lot of people are in school or college and its getting to the point where peeps gotta worry about midterms/finals soon. People are busy. I'm not part of the krew but I know for sure this is more of a family clan rather then a clan that prefers to only game together. It seems you prefer a clan that plays together regularly. I know time zones and ping is a big issue for Aussies and there isnt much you can do about that. Are you wanting an Aussie or Hawaii server, would that really change anything?

I've taken time off from cod before for extended periods of times for various reasons. This place is just nice to hang around, even If I don't talk all that much, so it is always nice to come back to. I feel very welcome here. I like the atmosphere of most of the krew guys in that there isn't a lot of seriousness gameplay wise. It is a good feeling. I personally believe this is the best damn place to hang about and to play with people. I hope whatever is bugging you, whatever the real reason for this post was, is sorted and you feel better.

In addition to being 'clean' servers, there is a large variety of KKK servers which I know is something I love. I don't ever find myself needing any other servers because KKK has it all. Before the bolts server, I would go into another server when I wanted to bolt only- now I don't have to. There are several servers you can go on to nade, tube people, and use your ak47 on. Consider the bolt server a 'fetish' server, for those who choose and wish to play strictly bolts. If you don't like that fetish, you don't have to partake in it. I actually can't stand FFA but I play so much because people I care about and want to be with play there. I'd much rather play objective based games. I know there are a few people that have horrendous pings such as you but when they come in the bolt server they come to hang out with Paige, me, and whoever is there at the time. They follow the rules and use a bolt only regardless of their much higher ping. KKK is really simple for rules, there aren't many to follow, and the bolts server is the only server with any kind of weapon restriction. There are many people including Paige, Xeph, Tito, Rival, and myself to name a few that truly enjoy the bolt server. We like to play it for what it is: bolts. Rules are rules and I think we should all be held accountable to them regardless of our ping or any other circumstances.

We have KTD which has gotten a good response, imo. Where we get together and have some good times. The scrims I am sure are fun and similar to KTD. The servers are being populated more and more every day- the most I've seen since the move and I sure am proud of how much work we've all put into getting them going. We play often on KTD, bolts, and A3.. 2 of those are LA based. So I am not sure what you mean when you say NY clan, that is not the case. I realize I haven't been around nearly as long as you and your good times are different from my good times. I'm sorry you don't seem to be having a lot of fun anymore but there is a lot of fun to be had still with the krew and I have it often.

^ I don't understand the point of this. I have always seen you be extremely respectful and polite so I can only think that you don't understand how bad this sounds or how offensive it comes off.

Also she would still be required to follow the rules regardless of any limitations because to circle back around.. rules are rules regardless of how frustrating you may find them.

Unless I miss my mark here,the point is that ,ok rules are rules, but fun with friends is the true aim..High ping sux,and I can understand where he's coming from,he was just fooling around..that's all..I feel for Andy because he has been here a looong time and is also one of the major funding sources for the servers,yet the way it is now there is hardly any place for him to play on par with anyone...I wasn't there at the time but I'm pretty sure he wasn't trying to just be an asshole..Tolerance was the operative word,he knew what was going to happen through b3 and was just having a bit of fun...

Okay let me clear up what actually happened that round that Andy was kicked BY B3. Not actually kicked by me.

We were playing on crash. Everyone was bolting, as they should be. Andy pulled out his G3 and I believe his AK47 with tubes. I was speccing, saw him get 2-3 kills like this and B3 didn't warn him. People were complaining, including NON Krew that were in the server to enjoy a bolt game. We actually had 2 leave specifically because rules weren't being followed. I gave a warning. It so happened to be the third warning, so B3 automatically kicked and Temp-banned AVC for 6 minutes.

This makes our Krew look bad when people wearing tags can't follow the rules and when an admin is online letting it happen. Had B3 been working properly he would've been kicked/tempbanned MUCH sooner than he was.

5 out of 9 of the Krew servers are LA based. S2, S3, KTD, Toons, and the cracked server are all LA based. We aren't a NY based Krew.

I'm not really sure why this was directed at me in anyway, why there was a paragraph dedicated to my motorcycle license, or why my status as a gay female gamer came into this in anyway. I also don't see how "playing as a noob" can be categorized in anyway with any of the things I've dealt with solely for being a gay individual. Pretty sure people don't get beat up for being a noob in a game. Just saying.

Not sure what this thread is about but IMO Paige did the right call. I mean a Krew admin shouldn't have the idea of: "Oh damn I'm playing bad, let's test out if Echelon works and get myself kicked!"
It gives a bad impression to regulars, seeing an admin get kicked by another Krew admin and the fact that you were breaking the rules on the server.
Not going into the fact that Paige's sexual preference and background is being described with hardly any relevance in the OP lol.

BUT, the focus has been S1, which is NY. Ever since the Great Server Debacle of 2012 (or whenever it was), that's been the main server. If you're three thousand miles away, it matters not. If your twelve thousand, it does.

So the guys in that time zone should get together and start organizing server time. We have tried and tried again, but the guys in our timezones simply can't get together at those awkward hours. There are definitely enough people in the krew who get good pings on west coast servers.

I mean I would even be down to try and get one server stared over the holidays...... when I reinstall cod4 for a while.
