Dorky COD tactics question

Hi all

Question: does the number of people on a server alter the way you play free for all? For instance, on a busy server are you more likely to stay put in a given area and pick people off (noob camper! bastard! etc) or run about like crazy and kill kill kill?

I'm just kind of interested in how people play the game under different conditions.

And yes, I've been known to hang out in the bogs on Broadcast quite a bit when it's hectic out there, but not in a George Michael kind of way. (If you see me there, I'm trying to kill, not solicit.)

I run and kill kill kill. Works well when the server has more than 15 people, but when it's anything below, I get wreck on the scoreboard because the top player usually soundwhore.

I don't camp that much with a full server but I don't really rush through the entire map either.

I usually patrol 2 rooms, running back & forth shootin' people in the face.

Low populataion - control the mezzanine (balcony, but it's not really a balcony). You can cover two entrances plus outside.

Medium population - sniper house with the SAW or G3. Clays on the stairs

High population - Run and gun with either the P90 or Mini uzi, with Sleight Of Hand, and marty. Yeah marty is cheap but with heaps of players it gets the score up there. If the server is full you can just go back and forth in the bathroom area or locker room or studio

Hey, thanks for the replies everyone - pretty interesting stuff. Must try the mini Uzi... Patrolling two rooms kind of makes sense as well - something I often do… with not very spectacular results!

What a soundwhore, sodalover? Good word.

Try the Uzi with steady aim and double tap and run around hip firing only. It kinda feels like you're playing counter strike.

I find the broadcast room to be quite nice where you can check the stairs at both ends i will camp for the last kill before heli..other than that it's headless chicken and dying a whole lot but still fun to be had..

over 13ppl on the map starts the "hamster slaughter" anyway...

controlling an area is the better way to score on BC...running like a headless chicken firing at everything moving become a good strat when the number of ppl is over 13

It has a huge effect on the way people play.

Also, you should play differently against different people in the server.

I would guess that most people in this krew have how every other member plays on broadcast down to a science. I know i did back in the day.

I have a different playstyle against every player in here. My playing style also changes a LOT to the amount of players in the server.
Also of course in the mood i'm in(music, bored, on ts, tired, tryhard, angry, etc). Explaining them all would be too much.

This is really cool, thanks everyone. Sodalover, will try the Uzi recommendation.

That camping before airstrike/ heli is something I must learn to do. You know, of course that's assuming I get 5 kills in a row. :violin:

Yeah i'm the same way Tito.. My play style is way different depending on how I feel like playing at the time.. But when it comes to a certain amount of players the only difference is I die alot when more players are on due to spawn killing lol

My CoD tactics are... Do whatever sounds most fun because I love messing around just to have fun in games. I can't play seriously or competitive.
