Ive been thinking it over for awhile, and Ive finally decided to sell some of my stuff and build my own desktop. I'd like to get yall's opinions on recommended specs. The use is for gaming and the price range is roughly $1000-$1500 depending on how much I get outta the stuff I sell. (Moniter would be nice but not required)

Joe helped with my new custom build. I'd go to him first. This thing runs perfectly!

Lol. If, for example, you get the full 1500 from your sales, maybe consider holding a few hundred back to upgrade your net.

You should get a whole new internet setup with wifi. Set a password. And don't tell your parents.

I threw this together really quick. Hopefully some more people will give input here.

Case - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811119233 - $60

Case #2 - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811129021 - $100

Power supply - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817182073 - $100

Motherboard - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813131832 - $125

Ram - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231314 - $40

Graphics card - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814125418 - $240 (AMD/Radeon)

Graphics card - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814130593 - $270 (Nvidia)

Processor/CPU chip - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819115072 - $220

CD/DVD Burner/player - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16827135204 - $20

**Hard drive(s) - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820148442 - $103

**Second hard drive for storage - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822236339 - $70

**Primary hard drive if not going with a SSD - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822136533 - $109

Monitor - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824236052 - $180

** You can choose to omit the SSD and just go with a regular hard drive. That will save you $64 (assuming you bought a secondary drive). If you chose to go with a ssd, you would use that for the operating system and a few programs. It will be much faster than a regular hard drive. You would then probably need to get a secondary hard drive for storage of stuff like music, movies, pictures , w/e. The SSD has 128 gb of space, the Western digital, 1tb (1000gb). Keep in mind they never have that much actual space. My 1tb drive had 931gb of actual space.

Going with the SSD and the cheaper of the optioned cases and Graphics cards, the final price is $1158. Going with the more expensive options would add $70 to that total. I guess it will depend on how much you make from your sales. If you are able to get close to the $1500, i would probably go with the SSD and secondary storage drive. If not, cut out the SSD, go with the cheaper options and put that towards the monitor and maybe windows if you need that.

I'm sure some others (Joe) might be able to come up with a better build for the money, but hopefully this gives you some ideas. XD.
