Ello Krew! I was thinking, why not have a day where we get together and all play tf2 on a private server? I will be hosting the server, it will be password protected etc, any krew member or friend of a krew member can join. I was thinking we could play a couple game types. List is in order from first to last.
Mann VS Machine - #1 (any map)
Payload - #2 (Hoodoo maybe? Or Hightower?)
Degroot - #3
First place in each map will get a PRIZE from me! So you will have 3-4 chances to win a PRIZE!
If you don't have the game already, it is free on Steam.
I was thinking we could do this sometime on Sunday. Post what time/timezone you will be online in and we can all try to make it! I am open all day Sunday so it doesn't matter. We can also do a few fun rounds before the real deal. For those of you who aren't familiar with tf2, here is a small description of the gametypes above.
Mann VS Machine: Fun game type where you fight waves of mechanical bots. The objective is to protect your base from getting bombed. Each wave gets harder and more robots spawn. Everytime you or a team member kill a robot, you get money. If you pickup the money dropped by a robot you will get even more. The money can be used to upgrade your weapons, character, or other powerups. Lots to do in this gametype.
Payload: There are 2 kinds of payload maps. The first one is where just 1 team has a explosive loaded cart that one team tries to set off in the other team's base. The 2nd kind is where both teams have a cart and the first one to push their cart into the other's base wins.
Degroot: Degroot is a medieval themed map where only medieval type weapons are allowed. So swords, bows, really anything that involves physical contact is allowed. But nothing else.
PRIZES!:
Prizes will very. I have setup a random number generator which will come up with either a real life item, a internet steam gift item, or a team fortress ingame item. Then I will generate a 2nd number which will tell me what the prize is. Prizes will be anywhere from a crate to a steam game of your choice for under $20! But, if you are lucky. And I mean REALLY lucky. The grand prize will be a gently used laptop computer. The laptop is a Lenovo Thinkpad sporting a 2.5ghz Core 2 Duo processor and 4gb of ram as well as 250gb of hard drive space.
So, post your times in the comments and lets try to match them up!
