Either way, SC is a nice change of environment and the past 2 days it's had quite a few people already.

Softcore is just different. In hardcore you die faster so you have to shoot faster. In softcore you have to get some consecutive shots, so your aim has to be better with certain guns.

Pluses and minuses.

You can also camp like crazy in softcore. Hardcore, walls are paper. Softcore, even the thinnest walls make sniper kills impossible w/o headshots.
