This is a brand new virus, really more of a malware. It infected my PC and I'm quite carefull. I haven't had but maybe one or two virus/malware in the last three years.

One sign of the malware is that it shuts down your task manager when you open it.

I ran Malwarebytes to kill it. You can also system restore.

This is the page that you get.

I wonder how you got it if your pretty careful...

I just opened my Task Manager and it works fine, I guess I don't have it ;)

P.S. I also run Spybot as a resident protector and also run a weekly scan and nothing has been found.

This could be part of the Monday night malware thing. Who knows.

So did this happen when you tried to use a moneypak, or did it randomly occur?

It happened at random when i visited w/e website had it. I thought it was just a random pop up at the time and didn't think much of it until i noticed my task manager wasn't working. I re-booted right away and thats when the page popped up again.

I've seen the uk version of this several times before now. most of the time if you boot into safe mode you're able to do just what d did and run malwarebytes. If it gets too bad you need something like avg's rescue disk to remove it. If you leave it too long, that wont work and a remaster is your only option. Remember to backup your data people, it could happen when you least expect it

This is one of the weirdest viruses/malware I've seen, but I think that any program you have installed that kills malware and viruses will get rid of it for you.

From what I've been reading some AV do not get rid of it.

If they had written it to not shut down task manager, not display the page on reboot and just pop it up at random once a day while browsing, i might not have ever found it or known it was a malware.

They way they wrote the worm is what alerted me to it lol.

I got rid of one today. I did notice a command prompt that said "set wallpaper". I got rid and it allowed me to run programs normally, if that's any help to anyone.
