He has died at the age of 86. If you do not know who he is, he was best known as Sheriff Andy Taylor in the television show "The Andy Griffith Show". I'm not expecting Europeans to know much about this beloved actor, but most Americans should be familiar with his shows...I know The Andy Griffith Show warms my heart every time I watch it :luv: He is also known for starring in "Matlock", a pretty popular show in the 80s and 90s.

Along with Don Knotts, he will be missed.

I was sad cause I thought Andy griffiths was the author of all the beloved books of my childhood, but seeing as he isn't..

I was sad to hear this. Steel loved Andy Griffith Show when he was a youngin. I salute you Andy Griffith :sadcry:

Yeah RIP buddy.. I remember growing up watching his show, parts of it anyways. Either way, it was still a good show!
