I'm a complete noob at doing this but i think i can teach people who want to learn...
so here it is......................................................................................
First open the cod4 folder.
computer
c drive
program files
activision
Call of duty modern warfare
click on the folder called "players" (if u cant find this folder and your on Vista home basic 32 bit u click on compatibility files on the top and u should find it) <-----as shown is picture 1
After you find that, go to the folder named "players" then go to "profiles"...then click on your name....
Now, left click on the file called config_mp.cfg (as shown in picture 2)....and click open with, and choose word pad
(NOTE: DO NOT use notepad! this will not work! only use wordpad)
NOW:
DO NOT mess with any of the controls....
ok, u should have a screen that looks something like the screen in Picture 3.....................
to put the command of your choice you have to write this
bind (the button of your choice...MUST BE A BUTTON NOT ALREADY USED SUCH AS F7 OR F8 etc) "say (the test of your choice)"
that was probably confusing so here is an example:
bind F7 "say Hello Everyone!"
now when i play COD, When i press F7 that message will appear
(Still confused???? Refer to Picture 4!)
so now u hopefully have a basic understanding of binding...
U can add colors by adding a ^ and a number before a word....
EXAMPLE
bind F8 "say ^6Hello ^7Everyone"
this will make different colors!
^0 = black
^1 = red
^2 = green
^3 = yellow
^4 = blue
^5 = light blue
^6 = purple
^7 = white
^8 = Only When Playing as American = Dark Green
^8 = Only When Playing as Russian = Light Red
^8 = Only When Playing as British = Dark Blue
^8 = Only When Playing as German = Gray
^9 = Grey
