Ponyboy, I was looking to get a longboard just to cruise to work and back, to save money on fuel and what not. I was wondering if you could tell me some brands or websites that have cheap boards, not dodgy but still cheap. also whether you think its worth buying a complete or building my own.
cheers.

...Now that you mention it... too late now, do have any longboard advice or did you just want me to realise how much I don't think things through properly? Haha

to freez i have a longboard wth 2 wheels i dont even have to push, and it goes supah fast!!!

ok im here and daddies board shop is a great website, and some companies have their own. you kinda have to find a goood place where u live where u can get all ur skate stuff.
if your getting a cruisin board u might want to go to bamboo deck. loaded longboards have some real nice cruisers. landyachtz also has bamboo. u kinda want to get something light so u can go kinda fast. the only downside of bamboo is it might warp in the rain. Rayne is awesome because of their durability and all their boards are bamboo, and they are sandwiched wth fiberglass. Rayne puts bees wax on their boards so it wont warp in the rain. i would just go with a complete, when u get really into it u can start to upgrade the trucks, wheels etc.

if u have any questions don't hesitate to ask.

ponyboy.
