Eve Online is a MMO with one single server. Its a HUUUUUGE universe, normally has 30000 players online 24/7, and each player has its own ship. From light fighters to massive battleships and each ship has a player behind it. Alliances are called corporations and, as far as I know, its damm realisitic. This corporations normally have their leaders, generals, fleets... etc. and they control certain areas of the universe. Not like they have it captured. You cant really do that, only planets are captured, they just say: "this area belongs to ..., nobody without the proper permision is allowed to enter" you really dont wanna go against those guys. there are thousands of planets with different resources that are needed to upgrade ships, trade, and all that MMO stuff. Money is absolutelly ALL in this game. Dust514 will make the game even more realistic as now there are also ground troops controlled by PS3 players and linked to the MMO game server.
