Signed up here as a lurker, but I guess it doesn't make sense to have two confusing names.

Sure no problem. Please an admin (red colored names) in the shoutbox to change it for you. Yes, I can do it now but what if I would have made the change when you're not here and you try to come back and you think you forgot your password. So it's usually best to have your name changed when both you and the admin are aware of the change so you can remember the name was changed.
