Find TheDude a BB gun

TheDude wants a high powered BB gun/pellet gun to take to his lake house!

After initial searching, TheDude realizes he probably doesn't know enough to know what's good (the stats they give are just stats.... idk what's actually good).

I wanna be able to shoot critters. I'd also like to be able to shoot wakeboarders, but I feel like that's the job for an airsoft gun.

So there... 2 challenges for you guys. Find me an epic gun for under 200 dollars and and epic airsoft rifle (as long range as possible, doesn't have to be high fire rate) for under 200 as well.

Thanks!

Looks like a good gun, dude. I might get it. AVG 5 star rating, too.

I think there is a limit to how accurate you can get with Airsoft, anyway. This might be my choice.

Any other suggestions? :D

For a Automatic rifle you give up some simplicity. But you get quality in return. You MUST charge the battery before each use. Charge for about 2 hours. This gun is almost identical to my own. I am the master of the M4 internals so if you ever need any work done im your man. I know allot about the upgrades so send me a PM if you have an idea for it. At only $180, this is a bargain. It is about 400 FPS(feet per second). This packs a mighty large punch. It will break skin when hit on a meaty target.

I recommend this ammunition:

For a sniper rifle, it is much more simple. though you can only fire 1 shot before pulling the bolt. Playing COD you all know how a bolt action rifle works. These hurt allot more. I've hit a crow in mid flight. It went right through it's skull and put it right down. This is a better option for small animals like squirrels or for long ranged target shooting. The rang is about 200 feet. Though these are about 550 FPS, so you cant enter this into any competitions without getting booted for dangerous FPS.

It comes with a bipod, but no scope. If you are going to get a scope i recommend this:

Use this ammunition for best results:

Enjoy! :shooting:

No-go. If you want this to be a beater, then thats a great gun. But if you want full metal, realism, weight, and feeling. Then you should get this:

It is the SAME EXACT rifle as mine. I put a full stock on mine. Thats it. For only $10 more.

I prefer Gas blowback guns. I especially like metal guns because they last longer and are easier to maintain.

That one has an avg rating of 4.44/5 and it looks pretty nice aswell. It's pretty accurate. Heres a video review done by AirSplat:

You guys are so friggin' helpful. Thanks!!!!!!

Binky, way to make a detailed post. Hibred, way to find a nasty gun, Nick I agree with the gas thing. I don't dig springs.

THe BB gun needs to be at least air powered (pump). Gas is not in my budget, though I wish it was.

I'm looking for accuracy and power, remember, not fire rate. But dayum these guns look cool.

And no, i don't want a real gun.... i can't shoot my friends with a real gun....

And binky, are you saying that ponyboy's suggestion is a better gun? Or yours?

If you want a gun to throw around, then get his suggestion.
If you want something you will take care of, and you want more of a realistic feel, then get my M4 suggestion.
And dont judge the sniper rifle because its spring. I would rather have that spring sniper rifle than my M4 carbine. That M4 is my baby, and i would rather have a SPRING sniper rifle like the one i showed you.

Airsoft guns vary allot.
There are 3 basic levels.
1. Spring guns. Over $100, and they are very good. Under $100 and dont waste your time. The SIMPLEST airsoft gun ever. Pull the bolt, fire, repeat. I love spring guns, as long as they arnt crap.
2. AEGs, Assault rifles. Pretty simple when it comes to loading the mags, putting in and charging your battery. More complex than spring guns, but still awesome.
3. GBB, Gas BlowBack. The most complex BB gun there is. Much more difficult to dis assemble. You have to full mags with BBs and gas. You have to deal with leaks, and other problems. I stay away from GBB guns.

The only guns i say are crap, are walmart guns. NEVER get ANYTHING from places like walmart. But spring guns are just as fun as AEGs, and GBBs.

What's the chance that should could get injured shooting these at each other?

The posts i made are BB guns, not pellet guns. I have bruises from getting shot at close range. But as long as you wear eye protection, nobody will get hurt. Pellet guns on the other hand, NEVER shoot anyone with a steel pellet gun. You will be popping pellet pimples for days.
