Right, for those who don't know, i work in Pc World in the uk, as a techie (Pc world is a computer retailer with a techie counter).I've been in My job for about 12 years now and have got to know a lot of the regular customers. Today one of them came in and asked me if i would have a look at his machine. Of course i said yes, so he opened it up and pretty much straight away i could see it had been taken back to factory settings. He went through the startup procedure, and about half way through, he asked me what i thought of the machine. I said, "yeah, it's a nice piece of kit". He then turned to me and said "I'm glad you said that, because it's yours". My customer had bought in one of his old machines in for me to have. After i had picked my jaw up off the floor, i could not thank him nearly enough. He basically said that because i'd always had time to speak to him and his wife, they'd like me to have the machine.

Wanna know what the machine was???

What year is it? We have a lab full of those at my school. It's one of the older machines but do the job quite nicely without having to keep maintaining it.

I'll have you know that this machine runs the superior IE 8

Which is complete shit. Almost as bad as Safari.

lol you haven't used safari then. IE8 and safari aren't even in the same class.

@Bred. Thank you sir, that's very nice

@wally. It's a dual core (2.16 per core, 2gb ram,250gb hdd radeon x1600 gfx card and 20" monitor)

@Nick. Damn straight, hard work is my preferred way.

Set it up this morning, connected to my network so easily. Just gotta figure out how to get it to share files with my windows 7 pc.
