Hey y'all I was wondering how it would sound to have a pistols only server? This crossed my mind when yesterday we had a couple of pistol only rounds on S1 and it was a big hit with everybody with the exception of the couple of retards that just want easy kills with the primary. I know that it would be annoying to enforce, but I think it could attract more players. People like specialty servers and I haven't noticed too many pistol servers out there. Anyway, this is my suggestion and I put a poll up so we can see more easily the general feeling. Thanks Wally, and obviously that poll is unofficial and unbinding just so we're clear.

We talked a bit about this the other day, and the annoyance your talking about would be on hardcore, but if I remember right Wally said that if it's on non hardcore he can set it up to where only pistols can be used, the downside though is that it takes more shots to kill someone, so it's a give and take.

Yea Cav I think it's a pretty good idea too! Just not sure how to set it up like Blu said. Personally I'd rather have it hardcore but may be hard to enforce. Although we can name it something like "Pistols Only Server" or something like that. That way everyone going to it will already know it's pistols only.

This is a great idea cause it seems most people like having only pistol or only knife duels. And Wally, can you make it old school but the only weapons you can pick up are pistols? If you can, you wouldn't have to tell people to go only pistol...they would have to anyway.

A pistols server sounds like a good idea but I give it about 2-3 weeks before it doesn't get used anymore. That server will need to be spiced up a lot sooner than the rest of them.
By the way, a pistols server is possible in Hardcore and softcore. The only thing when making a pistols only server it goes to an unranked server, meaning it's in the Modded section. So another reason the server wont get used much.
At the moment, I'm trying to get Star Wars galactic to work on a server. Once I figure it out, anything else will be possible! 8)
