I highly recommend adding an extra 20 dollars and getting the 6870 over the 6850. It's worth the 20 for the performance you get.

Nice specs, maybe if you want optimal performance buy some SSD and boot your windows from it. But for the rest

to save a bit of extra money you might be able to get a cheaper sata II hard drive off ebay

noise is bad and performance is not that great due to the 1000rpm spin speed.

if i was you id go with something that has a faster spin speed and live with the little extra noise but get a load better performance

Listen to Pug MF. He's built many PC's, you've only built legos and houses out of sugar cubes.

word of advice with that Asus motherboard make sure you check the soldered joints on the back of the board dont short out on the chassis as this was the issue with my last Asus board and it cost me the board, 8gb of ram and my cpu. for some reason they had been cut to long

the sandy bridge series of cpu is starting to come down in price now due to the up coming release of ivy bridge. im not sure how much money you will have to spend on the cpu but it could be well worthing waiting for the new line up of cpus. even if you dont by a ivy bridge cpu the cost of sandy bridge cpus should come down.
