Sick in the mornings?

So, this has been happening for a long time, but it's actually getting in the way of life now.

When I wake up in the mornings I feel really nauseous, I cough and gag a lot, and I can't eat or drink anything without my stomach knotting up then me feeling like I'm going to toss my cookies. I'm not sure why it's happening, but it only happens if I have to wake up. If I can just sleep until my body wakes up I'm OK as long as I don't try to force myself to go back to sleep.

Anyone have any ideas on why this is happening? I have promethazine tablets for nauseous but they don't help in the mornings. It's very weird. This morning when I was getting up I as usual wasn't feeling good, but my coughing and choking and gagging woke up the baby which means it's affecting more then just me...

and.... for the smart asses out there...

I'M NOT PREGNANT

just saying.

It could be because you are really hot while sleeping, and when you wake up the environment is cold.
That's what happens to me sometimes.

Get your hormone levels checked, pregnant women get morning sickness and all the other problems under the sun mainly due to hormone levels going all over the shop.

So it could be a simple version of that.

How is your sleeping, BTW? Getting hot or cold?

Drink water, and make sure the covers aren't too snug or over your head.

Are you on any medication?

Anti Depressants could cause this.

Your body cools down when you sleep, idk what cent0 is talking about. That's why when you wake up you feel so cold.

Is this feeling accompanied by lots of sweating, pins and needles or tingling in your extremities, dizziness or drowsiness?
Do you have any allergies?
Do you eat anything before this happens?

and......

are you pregnant? :troll:

Headache could result from de-hydratation or also not enough oxygen/too much carbon monoxyd in the room. And a fkin bunch of another reasons^^

Lol I did see a doctor, and the doctor just said that it's not a big deal and to make sure I drink plenty of water if I do end up getting sick in the morning. Not much of a help.

Was just looking to see what y'all thought. And Andy, it depends on the night, sometimes I get hot, and wake up sweating, other times I sleep well and only get cold when I'm crawling out of the covers lol.

Its winter... its called flu...happend when outside temperature get down and you still sleeping with your naked ass at the window :p

If its just flu...eat something you Want, stay inside at warm place, under warm covers til you sweat like a shower, change covers/clothes when they are wet, drink a lot of water of course...a big bowl of hot milk+honey+rhum right before going to bed. Two aspirine. If its just flew..that could solve the problem. Im not a doctor im just an old-grandma's advices giver ;)

Hahahaha, it's not flu, it's something that's been happening for quite some time. My mom has recommended going back to my therapist to see if it's anxiety related. Lol.

And I can't help it Sarg, sleeping with my naked ass by the window is just, AWESOME :giggle:

The honey milk and rum might be a good idea to help me fall asleep though :D

Exhaustion could also cause it. If you sleep too heavy when you do sleep, you might feel a little sick when you wake up.
Also, make sure you don't eat a bid meal too late.
And also, try going poop before bed. :D

If the doctor said it's nothing serious he's being dumb, if you are hurt by it every morning it is serious.

I agree, your body doesn't hurt for no reason, if anyone tells you that everything is all good their full of it, I'm not sure what it is but it could also be a lack of nutrition too. I've had digestive issues for awhile and started taking a vitamin/mineral supplement and that alone seems to have helped, just something to think about.

Yeah I agree with you guys, I just haven't been able to go to a different doctor yet because I'm still trying to get them to let me out of pediatrics. Just wondering really if anyone knew any tricks for nausea or anything like that.
