So, I like martial arts movies. Not gonna lie.

I <3 Jackie Chan. Not that he is the only figure in martial arts, I just like the straight-forward nature of his movies and the fact that he really maintained being an excellent role model throughout his career, unlike most stars.

So my first post is dedicated to....

Drunken Master

Which is an excellent movie, if I do say so myself. If you are looking for seriously deep mind-bending plot, this is not your movie. But if you are looking for those things in a jackie chan movie, or in all movies, then you're just a moron XD.

Having said all this, I am looking for top notch movies like this.

Obviously, Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon is a good one XD.

Enlighten meh!

I remember a movie called iron monkey or something. Forgot the exact name. It's pretty funny. If you can't find it, search for films Quentin Tarantino are associated with.

Matrix is in my opinion the best kung-fu series ever made, all of the crazy slow motion stuff while fighting the agents is sweet and who could ever forget the lobby massacre? even though it was 60% guns it was still really awesome

Houston doesn't watch Kung Fu, but he watches Mean Girls on a weekly basis. XD

I wouldn't call the matrix a kung fu movie. As for the series, I think the second 2 are extremely contrived and lacking some of the real meat the first one had. Judging from the ending of the first matrix, it is really obvious the second 2 were not REALLY in the works. The first one is great as a standalone.

And yes, there is a movie called Iron Monkey. I think I've seen it. And thanks Bred for the movie suggestions XD

This might be a bit embaressing but the only martial arts movies I've watched is the one where Jaden Smith is in,
and Kung-Fu panda 2.

Jackie Chan said that american movies are good with story lines because Asian films only understand action and nothing else. I've never watched this movie but I can see what he means. I still would like to see this movie.

Also, if you check this person's channel he has clips from all his favorite kung fu movies. Maybe you might like some. Also, kill bill kicked ass!

Cent, you're korean-american. Why would we think you had to watch kung fu? Kung fu is chinese.

The third part of the 36th chamber trilogy is called Disciples of the Master Killer or Master Killer III...Disciple from the 36th chamber in french.

If u love Wong Fei-Hong's stories...u can also watch "Once upon a time in China"...for a total of 7 movies for what i know. The problem is that JC dont play Fei Hong anymore...they give it to Jet Li, and movies are produced by Tsui Hark. And compare to JC's fei-hong there is a little bit too much flying chinese in Tsui hark's movies for me^^

From Tsui hark if u love "Flying Chinese style" u can look for...The butterfly murder, Zu and the Warriors of the Magic Mountain, and approximatively the 2/3 of Tsui Hark's works...

TD> i think its called Hero...;)

"I know Kung-fu!" (K.Reeves in Matrix) ... i grew up with Kung Fu movies...Bruce Lee principally.

Haven't watched Ip man...a friend ruined me the movie by showing me the fight vs the 20 guys...So if he can beat 20 guys why watching when he's fighting against only 1 ^^
