bioshock problem

hej guys,
i have been all over the fucking internet trying to find solutions for my bioshock problem but cant find an solution. so i thought i check with u guys if anyone had the same problem and found a solution.
so i am in the arcadian level and supposed to get a diary out of langfords safe, but when i open it, the safe is empty, but the objektiv to open the safe remains. and i cant go on with the game. if anyone of you has encountered the same problem please tell me how you solved it

I have the same problem, I just deleted my profile and restarted. You could try backing up your profile and delete the original, then restore your backup profile.
