cod 6: worst game ever made. EVER
cod 7: haven't played it much, but it's better then MW2
cod 8: MW3 is gonna suck, just like MW2

cod5: good game, mp40 was too boss though.
cod6: i like it a LOT. it is VERy fun, except certain perks such as commando and one man army+noobtube+dangerclose
cod7: good game as well, nice gameplay, although i feel the graphics downgraded since mw2
cod8: i think it'll be fun, it is basically mw2 with new guns and a few new gameplays.

Cod1: Okay I guess. It didn't age well.
CoD2: fun, multiplayer's a little.... meh.
CoD3: sucked ass
CoD4: amazing, best in series
CoD5: Meh. Not too big a fan of WWII games but it's good enough.

For some reason I doubt you even played the first 2 CoDs. They were damn good for their time, just got taken over quickly, however they certainly didn't suck.
COD 1, 2 and 3- Lots of Fun both SP and MP
COD 4- Always fun
COD 5- Could have been better but enjoyed the differences and still do
COD 6- Great game when you can actually find a server to connect to
