Should we get a voice server on our server in San Jose? If an admin would add a poll with the following options:
Yes, Ventrilo.
Yes, Teamspeak 3.
Yes, either/both.
No.

It'd be cool. Thoughts?

Mumble, yes.
TS3, no.
The other voice option, I forget what it's called, no.

Why? Our GSP needs to pay for licensing. They've suggested Mumble because it is free.

I'm up for either, but just thought I's put it out there since you mentioned the San Jose machine.

I totally forgot about mumble. I've actually never used it. I have Vent and TS3 installed.
Mentioned San Jose machine since we don't have to pay any more to get said servers.

So like something we can chat in during games? That would be awesome. Yes to both or Mumble, or whatever WaLLy suggests.

Call whine-1-1. (wahmbulance)

A year ago, it wouldn't have made sense to get a ts3 server or any voicechat. We just didn't have the people who would use it.

I think we have a handful of more steadily involved members, many of which are younger, so it makes more sense now, I think. Also, we may be more "competitive" (lmao) than we were before.

I like vent, it works better ingame. I'll download mumble later, I've never used it. I like that vent + ts3 have overlays but it backfires that PB kicks for them. VAC doesn't, so it's fine in tf2/black ops and our servers without punkbuster.
