Considering nokia managed to sell 17million, I would say yes it has begun. Apple will be fighting for the number 2 spot

3 years ago != today. Also samsung had a pretty good phone lineup back in the day. Of course it's MUCH better now. But 3 years ago I would have picked iphone over anything
So it takes a collective amount of Samsungs to beat the iPhone? Awesome! 
On a serious note, if the 4s would of came out in June/July, iPhone would of been the #1 again. No matter, I hope this is a wake up call for Apple and steps up their game (I highly doubt it since they're so full of themselves like everyone knows).

meh, maybe. Also each carrier want's a specific version of a samsung phone, which is why they have different names for the same phone. Example, sprint's SGSII is known as Epic 4G touch. etc etc. It's the carrier's fault not samsungs
I wasn't referring to the name changes. Either way, I expect the 4s to sell well since Siri is a very nice feature that just works. I've been giving the SGS2 a chance but it just doesn't suit me. Their voice talk stuff (Siri) takes quite a bit to give you a response and the stupid bump still doesn't help the phone. And in demo mode, the pictures looked awful. Going from a 3gs to a SGS2 would be a huge upgrade but considering what's out there at the moment, I think the 4s would work best for me.
The Samsung Note is much more appealing to me but with the lower dpi and the HUGE screen, compared to the 4/4s, it's not exactly my cup of tea. It doesn't have the bump nor it's curved either, big plus! At the moment, the wait time for a 4s is about 3-4 weeks, so I'm still holding off - trying to give a chance to see to the Galaxy Nexus and the Note come out.
