Your processor is LGA1156 -socket and your motherboard is LGA1155, so it won't fit. Go with new generation Sandy Bridge processor, like i5 2500K.
And your case comes with 480W PSU, which probably isn't the best quality one and you already have a 500W PSU on your shopping list.

What is your price range and maximum amount you can spend on a computer?

Power supply- God no.
Graphics card- god no, 460 SE sucks. It's even slower than the normal 460
Processor- outdated and overpriced, not to mention it isnt the same socket as the motherboard
Motherboard- ok
hard drive- no, seagate has the highest failure rates. Go get a Western Digital drive or samsung
case- whatever you like

Here is what you SHOULD buy for the things you messed up

Power supply- http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817371030 (500w antec continuous)
Graphics card- http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814150561 (AMD 6870 MUCH more powerful than 460SE)
Processor- http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819115076 (Quad core sandy bridge)
Hard drive - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822152185 (1TB samsung)

With the setup I have here for you it will be not only more powerful, but you will be spending less than what you have in your setup. So if you want to look for a better case, go for it. You will have an extra 46 dollars. Go wild.
