Well since more and more members seem to be playing this, i thought it would be good to have a thread for noobs like me.

Give beginner tips for classes or whatever else you like. Help us noobs(me) learn how to play!

Good idea. Well for starters, I would recommend heavy, pyro, or soldier class. those classes seem to be relevantly easy for new players. I also recommend jumping a lot. Keep moving, jump around to avoid enemy fire.

I also HIGHLY recommend leaving tf2 running overnight for a night. You will wake up with a bunch of new weapons which you will have in your disposal. the stock weapons are good, but I like to mix things up. I only use 3 stock weapons out of the entire lineup. 1 good night on a idling server will get you some great loot.

When I have time I will go more into details on class strengths and weaknesses.

Yeah, I'm with Damage I need help with this game lol. I leave the game running over night? Do I stay afk in a server or just have the title screen open? Also, is there a run button?

There is no run button. Use scout if you want to scamper around the fastest though. Idk about the all night thing. He says idling server, which leads me to believe you have to be in a game.

Correct. No run button, each character has his own speed. Scout being the fastest and heavy being the slowest. To idle, find a idle server. You can use the server filter box and just type in idle, should give you a nice list of servers that let you stay logged in overnight without kicks

For the Spy in 2fort!
Cloak up at your sniper area, jump into the water. Run through the bottom of their base. uncloack and run up to the base of their base. then cloak again and run up past their spawn and into their sniper area. START
BACKSTABBIN MOFO! Hope that wasn't too confusing...

Spy can be used pretty much anywhere. But beware of pyro. Spy's weakness is pyro. If you get caught on fire your cloak is useless.

Mhmmm...and a tip to new players! You may think that playing the Medic may be annoying because it's harder to kill someone, but going on a rampage with a Heavy can be very satisfying. Especially with Ubercharge on.

I gotta say that the first few months of playing the game I sucked. Now I can get 200 points in 15 minutes with a spy. Medic is a good learning class cause you can see how all the classes move, plus everyone likes you for healing. Dont try to go for the skill classes tell you have the game down. you have to know how each class will react to something.

pyro is the easiest to play. I suggest playing pyro while getting used to controls.

I love spy because it the the most rewarding kill. You have to think like the team just enough that you don't look sketchy, and just as they forget about you, go in and backstab em. Heavy and engineer are good for capturing/defending points.

Scout is the best for capping, for obvious reasons - 2x capture speed, faster run speed, better dodging.

So Joe, why does it take 10 minutes for it to load again? I've defragged the game, and it runs fine while I'm online, but it takes forever to load, which is sorta a turnoff.
