Phillies and Giants clear the benches!

Yea i saw this live when it happened. The Giants are playing like shit and probably a bit frustrated. The Philles don't like the Giants cos we :bitchslap: them in the NLCS. If only the Giants had not lost Posey and Sanchez for the year, we would be in prime position to repeat. Even without them we are managing to keep first place before this losing streak.

My grandfather woulda benched that guy for the season. You just don't fight in a sports game.
 
That was a fail tackle by Eli, the catcher. But hey, great pitch. Hope some of the Philles get suspended forever so the Braves can some get some fresh meat. :haha:
 
Do those guys get fined and/or suspended like in the NBA?

and I'm such a baseball n00b, I thought "clear the bench" meant all the fans went home because the game/teams sucked monkey balls.
 
Not as bad. Maybe if the fight escalated to an all out brawl. The main players involved got ejected, not surprising there. I know Derrick Lowe, Braves pitcher got suspended for a DUI a few months back, so those things do happen.
 
That's what I thought too, WaLLy. I kinda expected it to be like the only possible outcome of a baseball game... fans get bored... fans go home..... benches get cleared....
 
I'm sucha baseball noob. If you want fights in sport games, just go watch hOckey lol

If a heavyweight boxer got into a fight with one of those hockey players (without boxing gloves, obviously), mr. hockey player might just end up dead, not just bloody.
 
noo... the boxer would be too busy explaining the rules of the fight while the hockey player is beating him up
