Design and Quality of Sweden! - Printed in big letters everywhere. In much, much, finer print you will see that it also says "made in China"

Having just moved to our new house, a trip to the Ikea store was inevitable. We have shitloads. Mainly bookcases, but also stuff like shoe racks and kid's cups and plates. Not to mention a lot of racking and shelves for the shop.

My rough count, home - 22 (counting kids chairs and tables as singles), shop - at least double that

None of which is made in Sweden BTW.

So, does everyone have Ikea at home?

IKEA FTW! Most of my house fourniture comes from IKEA: its fairly cheap, easy to put together, and resistant with a nice touch of style. My room could be 1 of those exposition rooms at the store. :p

We have a handful of IKEA's around here. 2 words, cheap quality!

When shopping for furniture I go to the mexican shops, cuz they know how to build things :giggle:

I'd say one each, you have to buy them separate.

No Ikea in Alaska? But isn't Alaska in the same parallel as Sweden?

I don't know about all the stores, but our one you go up the escalator, instead of turning left and having to go through the entire upper deck (with all the furniture displayed) you take a left into the restaurant.
Then duck out the side of the restaurant into the stairs and go downstairs, into the "market hall" which still means having to walk past all the small stuff you would put in a trolley. Look closely and there should be some of those opaque swinging doors which should take you into the beginning of the big-ass warehouse section.
Surely all the stores have a similar layout. There's always a short cut. But they are not well visible, or else how would they get you to walk past all their stuff for sale?

I get lost at Bed, Bath, and Beyond, especially the beyond part. Sometimes in the bath part though.
