I played through the first level. The game is quite good.
The AI is very smart and communicate your position and their tactics to each other during a firefight which forces you to move between covers and use some degree of tactical thinking. If you stay in one spot they will flank you and sometimes rush forcing you to retreat a bit. Also doing things like using your flashlight will get you noticed by the AI when they would otherwise not see you.
The guns handle very nicely allowing you to be quite accurate at distance. So far i have only used a shotgun, assault rifle and pistol. You can use a slo mo feature by pressing 5 which is also cool and good for getting headshots. The slo mo lasts maybe 6-8 seconds or so. I'm not sure how often you can use it, I only used it once when the game initiated the sequence on its own. Nades countdown a little too quickly when cooked IMO and it makes it a bit difficult to pinpoint at distance, but just needs some getting used to. So far i have used frag and stun nades. The AI is quite funny when stunned as they yell out, I can't see a fkn thing!
The cover system is very good, but also takes some getting used to. You press a button to go into cover mode, which then allows you to press the RMB to peek over the cover and fire at your enemys, then duck back into cover very quickly. The only drawback of this is that you have to press the same button to get out of cover which can be quite frustrating when you are being flanked and rushed. In the heat of the battle i often forgot and it cost me to get shot up. The cover system is like that of killzone 2/3.
I have only played one level and have read some of the mech levels are quite frustrating, but all in all the game has gotten very good reviews from players and is pretty fun so far. I give it two INC's up.
