You're right, I don't understand why people get enjoyment from messing with other peoples stuff. Thanks for the heads up because I would be the only idiot who opens it because I think I got a package even though I know I didn't order anything. If you open emails on your phone, does your phone get the virus instead?

That's a good question, and I'm not sure either. My guess though, that if the virus is made for Windows and you have an iPhone or Android that it would not affect the phone because, well the iPhone is probably running a Mac version OS on it and the Android runs a Linux version. So to me, the virus should not affect those different OS, but this may also depend if you sync your phone with your computer as well. The virus could then be transferred from the phone to the Windows based computer, at least it makes sense to me ;)

I get crap like this. But the attachments are a dead giveaway. You hover over the "attachment" and it's some spammy URL.
Like I would ever open a emailed zip file.

AVC mantra:
Never, ever, click a link in an email.
Never, ever open an attachment. My AV scans all email attachments anyway, but unless it's from a trusted source, it's bye bye.

There were some one kicking around that were from the Tax Office or banks that looked and behaved like their proper website. All the links worked and navigated to the correct places. Except the login link.

Some peeps are still fooled by the scammers. Like getting cold called from "banks". yeah right. Well, actually, I DID get called from my bank coz I missed a card payment. Which I knew about coz the bill was sitting on my desk. They wanted me to verify my identity, but would not disclose the reason for the call until I did due to "security reasons". I told them to piss off, and that I wasn't supplying ANY info from a cold call. They said if you don't believe us ring us back. I strung them along for a while just to piss them off, and then payed the bill which I was going to do anyway.

After many years of teh internetz, ive learned taht ANY program that pops up and says you have alot of virus' is a virus itself. A for of trojan, or a trojan, the only hacks im farmiliar with are DDoS attacks, easy, and not easy to pin on someone, considering its just a measure of how many packets you send. I've gotten this virus before, and it looks alot liek most other trojans, thing is though trojans can install a small spyware program, the shitty thing is there just made to piss people off, they slow down your computer and play bad sound bytes sometimes. I mightve ranted to far.

Yeah I've gotten lots of emails like this in my junk folder on yahoo. Not sure where they come
from but I was sure it wasn't where it says it is. I just delete them and go about my business
and never had a problem with it. If I have a package or something coming from them I always
just check their website.

It's funny because there's an obvious grammar mistake in the first paragraph of the email.
The parcel was sent to your home address.
And it will arrive within 3 business days.
It should have been one sentence, not two.
