[SOLVED] Key code in use

Well that depends. Does it happen a lot or just recently. Normally when I get a keycode in use, it's usually because the server somehow lost my connection yet it didn't release my key. It usually goes away after 15-30 minutes of waiting.
If you're getting a constant keycode in use, then somehow someone got it. Depends on who you bought it from, you can eMail Activision and see if they can help you. If you bought the game from Steam, you should probably get a hold of them first.

Yeah that happens to me sometimes, first time it happened I was like "wal-mart bastards stole my key code!!!"
lol! this must be the third time I see a thread of this kind.
When u suddenlly loose connection to internet u get kicked out of the server cuz u cant connect. However u havent manually exit that server. Thats why, even thought u r not playing, the game still thinks u r IN the game. As a result u cant connect again cuz ur serial key, meaning the CD, is in "use" and its impossible to have twice the same serial number online. EVEN IF IT COMES FROM THE SAME IP ADRESS! So, what u have to do is wait until the game finishes and the server refreshes again so it notices u r not online. That way ur serial code is free again to join any server. If u loose connection while playing on s1, that might take a while cuz games are pretty long.

almost. I don't think Blu and Brian do this anymore, but they were able to play on non-punkbuster servers with the same keycode. Just so long as you're using the same router.
