Red Alert 3

I used to play the Red Alert / Command & Conquer series to death.

My fave was prolly C&C Generals, then RA2. Wasn't a real fan of C&C3

Strangely, I only just found out that there was a RA3. I can pick up a copy for $10.
Should I do it? Has anyone played it?

Sure. Why the hell not? You probably make more than 10 an hour so go for it.

Also if you dig strategy games, might i recommend Stronghold Crusader? Fantastic castle simulation. Simple to understand and use interface. But if you do, don't buy any stronghold games after crusader, as they are all crap. Q

Yea i agree. Thats why i have trouble playing these games on a consistent basis. I have Starcraft 2, Supreme commander, Red Alert Kanes wrath etc. I always start with good intentions but never dedicate myself enough to playing them.

I'm downloading Red Alert 3 as i type this btw :giggle:

Yea i read all about C&C 4. Epic fail that was.

I don't rage too hard because i only play the AI lol. I can get games going over himachi though. I think thats what it's called.

lol Well fk red alert 3! I've played five skirmishes on Medium and gotten owned hard. I'm not very good at these fast paced RTS, but usually i can beat the AI on medium or hard. I don't like all the different special abilities each unit has. It's way too much micromanaging for the very fast pace of the game. I'll keep at it for a while though.

it was kind of part of the age of empires series, so it isn't a new game, but still amazing.

It was so badass. I can't count the amount of times i've used it's campaign as stories in exams and english tests.
