Some form of lag issue. :(

Hey guys, I have a question..
Ever since I switched from my 32" HDTV to my 52" DLP HDTV, I have had mouse lag for CoD4.
Nothing else, just CoD4.
I've tried to get rid of it, or even reduce it, but I can't..
What can I do?

That's odd.

We'll start by eliminating things. Are you using the same cables that you connected your HDTV, e.i., HDMI or DVI or VGA cable?

Have you tried using your PC on another TV or monitor? If you can't replicate the issue, it may very well be your DLP TV.

I'm for some reason banking on it being the TV, because I've used my computer on two CRT monitors and another flatscreen, and I haven't had lag.

That's because your TV is a TV not a computer monitor. Does not matter what you are doing, there is mouse lag. There is nothing you can do but go out and buy a real computer monitor. TVs typically have around 50+ ms response times while PC monitors have 2-5ms response (if they are good)

Some TV's are good enough for it, Joe.

Both my TV's (living room and computer room) work just fine on cod4.

Or perhaps you just don't notice it. Its very rare to find a tv with low response time. I myself used a 22inch tv for a while but I began to notice this lag, and when I put my old 19 inch back I realized how BIG of a difference it was. Which is why I am selling my 22inch and keeping my 19 for now.

I don't play on the living room TV anyway. The screen is too big (55"). But when I did, I didn't notice a difference...

My current 23" LED TV works wonderfully for my PC. I wouldn't necessarily say all TV's are bad for gaming.

I've never owned a DLP but I can bet the DLP is what is causing the issue and not just because it's a TV.

Yeah Joe, you're probably right with the entire TV/monitor thing, but my other TV didn't have any lag from what I could tell.

Joe is 100% correct. Go check the specs of the TVs.

Wally had to stop playing on his 55" TV, coz the hand and gun in front of him was the actual size, and it was so immersive that he forgot that, to throw a grenade he had to press the nade button, and not actually throw one
