I want headphones

So I'd like to buy me some headphones. I'd like to say that I would use them whenever my wife and I go out of town (like now would be a good time to have 'em), but we hardly go out of town anymore anyway. So with that said, I think I'd probably use them to game, more than anything else.

I was considering buying the "Beats by Dre", over the ear headphones; not the ones that cover the whole ear. Well I'd like those but I think they cost a lot more money and I'd like to keep the coat around $100-$150.

I'm not a professional at most things and just go with if I think it sounds good, then I'll like it.

I'm also looking at headphones that give off nice bass since I listen to mostly hip-hop.

What would you guys recommend?

Thanks in advance! :)

I have a set of HP ones I really like. They cover the ears and have a mic..

Thanks for the suggestions folks! Keep them coming. I've upped the spending limit to $200 since the Beats by Dre are around that price.

wait, do you want headphones that go OVER your ears? or not?

at this point, it doesn't really matter. I want some that give deep bass yet produce clear vocals.

No, Wally, don't get those headphones that felon suggested. I fucking want to murder him everytime he answers on skype with a "HEYLOOO!" in a squirrel voice.
All BS aside they are great headphones.
I use for my iPhone 'Razer Orca', great sound and bass. 2 year warranty and best of all they are really cheap. $60 i think.

I use the Sonys.

My previous pair cost me about $150 but they have come down a lot in price.
The way I chose (which is the best way) is to find a store that has a few models on display, that you can listen to.
When I tried, the Sony blitzed the competition.
I find the full over ear model the most comfy, but they are a bit bulky for street use. If you were using them on the move, you need to try them out for comfort, and something that won't fall out.

I think wally wants headphones to listen to music with cent0. Wasting money on gaming headphones would be like wasting money on gaming headphones.

oh yeah! That's one of the reasons I like the Beats by Dre headphones. Apple has them so you can try them on and listen to some music. I'd like to connect them to my iPhone to hear what they sound like with the music I have. I'll probably go sometime this week.

I don't know of any other store that has them on display like that here. Maybe I should visit a Sony/JVC store to see if I can try some out.

For now, I definitely like how the Beats, look and sound! I'm comparing all of them to those.

And TD, weren't you the one that said some were crap? Like db stuff and what not?

I think he want's higher Q headphones than stock apple ear buds.

Someone360's looked like a nice set dood, and he is certainly more of an audiophile than the other posters in this thread.
