Kicking AFK users to make room when server is full

Hello,

I thought the issue should be brought up. Having a server that is too full blows, and our members and guests seemed to all support lowering the Max Player Level to 30 (not including members with passwords). However, the interests of ALL our guests are still our priority. Should moderators be allowed to kick inactive users (in specate mode) to make room when the server is full? Obviously, the method of going about this would have to be explicitly dicated to our moderators.

I'm personally against the idea. IMO, some if not most of the people will get the wrong idea and will probably take it as an insult.

If a poll is needed, go right ahead. I'll stand by whatever the outcome of it is.

By the way, staff members shouldn't need to do this because there's actually a setting in the config to have this done for you. It's just currently off. The only problem is that once the feature is set to on, it'll kick regardless of however many people the server has.

Just set the setting to something ridiculous like 45 minutes or something. If someone is AFK for a game and a half, they should get kicked right? Just put a warning in the console spam. The only thing I am worried about is that there seems to be no way to send a message with the kick telling the reason (another obvious feature the devtards somehow forgot).

well, they could be AFK to go to the bathroom or something.
I say if they are AFK for more than a game, then a kick?

i don't think anyone would ever consider kicking people when they went to the bathroom cent0.

When they gotta go poopoo, it could take as long as 30 min if they had the same mass as someone like Damage.

I don't think you can give admins another job, beside kicking/banned they have to watch the server for afk players (who maybe are just getting drinks/food or taking a shit) and if the server's full..
But it's a good idea on the other had if you watch good what players are afk and what not. I also think we need a topic with "AFK" kicked players so we can see who was kicked. (for when they go to the forum and cry about the kick)

before when i was playing on S1 more often then now...i've already kicked sitters and no one come to complain about being kicked for inactivity...but it was when the server had 20 slot. With the number of available slot now, pointless for me to kick sitters.

But in the absolute, i would say kick them after one or two round of inactivity.

It's not another job. We just need to outline clearly what mods are and aren't allowed to do ahead of time.

We can make a post "Kicked and Don't know Why?" + Console spam.

I have kicked for inactive players in the past, but only when the server is totally full and the same player has been spectating for at least 10-15 minutes. After 15 mins , i don't see a problem and have never received a complaint.
