Call of duty 4 map packs??????

ALRIGHT PEOPLE, so heres what I got my hands on. I found out infinity ward released MAP PACKS around 7/2010 for cod4. Im downloading these now to try them but im not sure about anything else at this time. Also not sure if Wally will choose to use these maps in any of our servers but Wally you are more than welcome to experiment with some of these. Here is the link

First, Infinity Ward did not release those. IW would of released a patch to the public, e.i. patch 1.6 (which brough broadcast and a few more maps).

Downloading the above maps are OK but it's just like any other modded map where the server wont be ranked thus it wont get used much.

Let me know of any actual good maps, I may end up adding some of them.

Well I saw the "creater" thing in the bottom cover and it said infinity ward, so I assumed it was by them lol

Aw that sucks. Yeah, did you try them out yet? Are they ranked maps or do you start from level one again?

Well honestly I wasn't recommending we go this on s1 or anything neither, I was just thinking like s4 (modded maps server)

I think infinity ward have abandonned support for cod 2 & 4 in favour of supporting that unstable piece of doo doo mw2. Patch 1.7 was released nearly 2 years ago I think. Somewhere aroundthat time.

Anyways, I dont think people are gonna want new maps. Its like the cartoon ones. They are cool but, meh. I think we shouldnt get this ones neither.

Call of Duty just doesn't have a large enough modding community to care for modded maps like Counter Strike or Left 4 Dead does. Anyone play the Indiana Jones Campaign on L4D2? Its awesome! And it's encouraged by Valve so you don't have to jump through all these hoops to play it.

Before a cod game dies aka 'no more than 40 people on at a time' The only few people left are the hardcore modders/gamers and you get some interesting stuff done to cod. However cod4 hasnt died yet, hopefully never, so until then the majority of gamers are not gunna be modders or people interested in modding.

Source: cod1, the only two servers always running with people was zombie mod and and a pro-sniper mod.
Source:coduo, the three servers running was Bolts, Zombies, and a Base assualt server where the tanks that didnt have a turret shot lasers XD
