Most of you know I'm moving house.
The cable TV is getting disconnected on the Wednesday, and hooked up on the Thursday (the day we move in). They send a guy out to install a splitter and run a cable point to where the TV will be.
Now the internet, I'm told tonight, has to be off for 3 days. 3 BUSINESS days. They wanted to cut it off tonight (electronically of course) and it would be "available" at the new house on Wedndeday. I said fk that, cut it off Monday night for Thursday. But it still means days without the cable internet. Still, better than Sargass' three months.
The sad part is that the cable TV and the cable internet are the same physical cable. Which is already run into the house. I should be able to unplug it here and plug it in over there and log straight on. What BS.
Fortunately we also have a HSPA wireless connection (runs off the phone network).
