Disney! World or Land? Need advice from USAers

It looks like we are booking a holiday to the US of A for early January next year.

Being that our then 5ish year old girl will want to see Disneyland, should we go East Coast or West?

What's the difference? Has anyone been to either? Do either or both have any of the VIP electronic queueing systems?

I'm partial to Florida, coz the Kennedy Space Centre is there, but I would be happy to hear your thoughts.

Disney World (East) is much larger and has more "other" things to see as well such as Epcot center, MGM, Animal Kingdom, Seaworld, NASA, etc all in the same area..

East is the way to go here

I know East also has the FastPass system, dont know about the west coast

The disneyland in LA is much more fun though!

LA has a lot of other parks too, like SeaWorld, Universal Studios, Legoland, ETC.
I've never been to the EAST coast, but i think disney WORLD is bigger

Orlando has all these too. Come east coast. We'll all have a party at Greg's.
East Coast is the way to go. Plus your close to the Gulf of Mexico (Greatest beaches [bitches?] ever!)

Disney world still has cool shit for people over 5 years old..... just not as much :s

Not as much as what? Land?
Not that it matters. The Disney is mostly about Maddie, I just wanna see the Space Centre.
Maybe the Florida Keys (Quays?). True Lies was awesome!

Keys. And TD meant DisneyLand.
East Coast is where its at man. Cape Canaveral is really cool. I went to the beach with some friends and got to see the shuttle .

There's also a nudist beach around there so be mindful

No i meant it oesnt have as much for people over 5 as it does for people under 5, if AVC was at all worried about experiencing something similar to what a parent at a chuck e cheez birthday party experiences.
