I was just spectating a hacker on s1, raging at how ghey he was, when i had an idea, would it be possible to have PB randomly turn on 5 times during the day, each time for 30 minutes? A lot of hackers would stop, because they would not want to risk being banned.

I know s1 is a sacred no-PB server, but I think it's a good idea.

Well instead of actually turning on PB let's just have the console just saying 'PUNKBUSTER IS ENABLED!' If your theory is true people will not hack thinking our bluff is real. (poker style :D)

That could work, but people would quickly realise that it wasn't actually on :p
BUT... if we did what you said until people realised it was fake, and THEN actually did my idea, while console still said that, it could catch quite a few hackers.

I don't think that's a good idea. PB doesn't work for me, so whenever I join a PB server I would just get kicked for no reason, even though I play legitimately.

If you also take into account how many tards hack on pb servers and get banned (over 50,000), simply telling everyone pb is on obviously has no real effect.

I think we should have another sever same as s1 but with PB enables on it, send a console message all day long with the new ip in s1 and see what happens if people miggrat to it then its a good idea if no goes then we didnt gain or lose nothing right most of the other servers are empty. Why you may ask I say this as some of you know ive been around more lately monitoring the activity around here playing some s1... comes morning when i wake up not a ghost in sight full game in s1 tho sounds like it could be some fun, well the fun ends quick when hackers and spawn campers control the place. But the point im trying to make is that i talked to the s1 guys that i see almost every day and they said there leaving to another server they also play but has PB enabled on it. Seemed like the majority agreed with him and most left, they asked why we dont have it and i said it was already brought up serveral times but the krew or most people in the krew dont want it. I just think we should give it a try and set 2 servers up one with PB and keep s1 without then if they really want it they will migrate over to the other server, Just an idea trying to help out and keep some good players around in s1

Does punkbuster really kick all kinds of hackers? What's the reason people don't want PB to be on? If it lags us up, then I would say no.
