pc spelled backwards is cp. Cp stands for child porn.....

so. It's a conspiracy. Obviously.

I am currently using a macbook pro, I am running windows 7 on a partition. I use windows 7 a lot more because software (mostly games) is written for windows, and not mac, more regularly. Outside of this compatibility issue, I have never used a more stable OS than mac osx. I prefer it WAY more than windows 7. Windows 7 has already started to have problems. I do not download torrents, surf the net on weird sites, and I have not visited any porn sites on windows 7. The reason windows seven is fucking up is because it is simply more unstable than mac osx.

Somehow windows contracted a virus with me only visiting 3 pages. Google, kkkgaming.com, and eztechhelp.com. On one occasion, my entire screen went red and i had to quickly disconnect from the net, and reboot in safe mode activating whatever security i had. I was NOT runnign and AV software. I am still using only windows firewall, but am now running AVAST free. No av program was able to find any malicious software. This isrunning IOBit security, windows malicious software removal, mccafee's free scan, AVAST, and malwarebytes. There was obviously a virus.

On mac osx, I have subjected the computer to numerous porn site visits and have torrented. I run absolutely no AV programs and use Mac osx built in security shit. I recently ran a scan online to make sure nothing was running and it came up clean. I have noticed NO degradation in performance and have notice NO stability issues. While windows has frozen and needed to be shut down and scanned and repaired multiple times.

Mac osx is simply a more stable beast. It is overpriced, but i like it much more than windows. If it ran the ame software as windows, i would uninstall Windows 7 now and never boot it up again.

I have a separate hardware profile for gaming. A separate hard drive running WinXP. No antivirus, no office no printers etc etc.

But it's not ONLY for gaming. If I browse pr0n I use the gaming rig. I have never had a virus or weird crashes.

It's a stable as. But admittedly, there is no software clutter.

True about instability and viruses, I hate that part of Windows, too. Don't you think Windows, regardless of which version, is easier to use than a Mac though?

I read somewhere that you own a Mac, and I though it was yours. My bad Nabil.

no mac is easier to use actually. I used to think it was harder to use. Then I actually spent some time using it. AVC i have much more software on my mac, a much more diverse line up of software. The hardware setups i have on the mac are more complex. It is more stable. For whatever reason. The more diverse software is due to the uses for the mac. Music scoring, editing, and production. Other multimedia software. I do have cod4 on the mac. I have gamin software for playing windows games. I have diagnostic software that is 3rd party. ...etc.

I actually really like the hot keys on mac os more than windows. IDK if that's important XD.

I will say that windows ran beautifully before i started installing things. When it's running good, it's running every bit as good as mac osx.

Yeah I was thinking about getting a mac for editing also. My teacher used to rip on pc all the time. He thought Macs were better for production and stuff like that. I've used pcs all my life I've never owned a Mac so I might try it out.

macs are faster for production. ISwitching between software and installing software. Unzipping packages. Keeping your pc organized. ALt+tab is super fast. IT's better for getting shit done. Plus, any serious recording and production software is written for mac.

It's easy. Don't take my word for it. I got my wife a MacBook last year and she's a n00b when it comes to computers.. She's VERY happy with her laptop and not because I bought her a hot pink case for it LOL. She also loves the fact that she can run any Windows using Boot Camp. :)

So yes, it's easy to use and a bit more user-friendly without the headaches for the regular joes, IMO.

Have you tried Parallels yet? Much better than VMware. ;)

Besides, my wife doesn't need anything fancy, so boot camp is just right for her. I run parallels on my MBP but I have no need to access Win7 on it. It's there though.

Don't have a mac for too reasons: 1. expensive mofos, 2. Not alot of PC games are compatible with it.

Fix those and I'll jump on apple's dick anytime!

Yeah, VMware is super laggy, takes ages to install, and takes up loads of room on the computer, when I used it to play bioshock I can't even defeat the tutorial it's so laggy!!

I have to use a win-xp pc at work because most (i.e. all) of the software i need there is pc-only.
But i have a MacBook at home and it's just easy to use and for everything i do at home it's just perfect. (Music, Video, Photos, iPhone-sync, cod4, web-programing ...)
What i like most about it / what i miss most on pc:
- quickpreview by hitting space
- Spotlight
- TimeMachine (!!!)

time machine really? I had also thoguht mac was harder to configure, but internet options, locla network options...etc. all way easier to access on the mac than on windows 7. Don't even have to know where to look, it's just there.

Oh yea, and there's this thing on mac... about this mac.

Compiled stats of all your connected hardware and software. It's great. How do you find it? 3 clicks from teh desktop.
