Locking Threads

What is this locking threads bull? Today I made a thread with a couple videos in it and some dope locked it.. WHY? What is your friggin reason this time?
..



99% of threads never need to be locked..

I really felt like locking this thread just cause...

I don't lock threads unless the conversation has turned in the wrong direction or if it is inappropriate. I can honestly say I didn't lock your thread.

I dont think any of the newer mods should be locking topics. They seem too be abusing the ability. Truthfully i wouldnt mind the older mods such as myself locking certain threads and of course the supers and Admins. Which btw the forum admin should be looking at topics that need to be locked. That is part of his responsibility is it not?

Exactly Diz.. Like the stevo thread, no reason for this to be locked at all..

Though I do know who locked it, I'm pretty certain it was locked on accident.

I'll try to remove the close this thread checkmark from the Quick Reply in the forum to alleviate accidental thread closings.

Doing some quick research it seems that the whole horizontal line of the "Close this thread" section is easily clickable.

It's an issue at hand which they haven't fixed yet.


So this confirms that the thread closings are actually accidental. Kindly ask someone to open the thread again if you see a thread that isn't supposed to be closed.

Which btw the forum admin should be looking at topics that need to be locked. That is part of his responsibility is it not?

Could you clarify a little? I don't think any thread should be locked unless the threads author has a specific reason for such.

You do realise that this thread is just asking to be locked, lol.

Wasn't the Stevo thread a duplicate thread? Generally speaking if there's a thread called, say, "Butt touching" which may have 10 replies, and then someone start another thread called "Touching My Butt" which is about the same thing, then the newer one would get locked.

Mind you, I always post and leave a reason for locking a topic.
