S4 Console commands/cheats

I think we should list what is acceptable for s4.

Unruley was telling Mal not to use the laser sight mod/console command, saying he would get tamp banned for it.

Unruley wasnt wrong in any way, as console commands/cheats are not allowed, but when it comes to mods like this, it sounds like it would be a fun add on to use.

I would like to use it myself.

Should we make some exceptions on what commands can be used? And if so, list them here.

Obviously god modes and unlimited ammo are cheats and should never be used.

i have only used laser mod this one time and it was a small time i used it it was for 2 games maybe 3
but besides that it is pretty awesome you can aim better with deagle and stuff well that my opinion others like more of a challenge even sniper is good with it

Lasers huh? Hhmmm, I didn't know they existed.

Either way, I'd like to make a case that if not all users use them then it just gives an overall advantage to the user using console commands. One of the reasons why I wanted to keep 'em away from the server.

At this point, I'm open to letting some in, once the majority agree on it, so for now until it gets approved, we'll temporarily be issuing temp bans. Deal?

if everyone on the server agrees todo /give all or lasers or whatever, it should be allowed. God mode should always be bannable with one warning. Demigod should be same as god.

notarget - Enemies Ignore You
noclip - No Clipping Mode
god - God Mode
give all - Access All Weapons (including shooting with bare hands)
jump_height # - Adjust Gravity Default = 39 (?)
timescale # - Adjust Time Default = 1.00 (?)
cg_LaserForceOn 1 - Add Laser Sights to ALL Weapons
demigod - God mode but screen still shakes
ufo - Same as noclip? (?)
r_fullbright - Easier to see things (wallhack?)
cg_drawGun - Removes Your Gun
cg_fov Zoom with any Gun
player_sprintSpeedScale - Set player's sprint speed
kill - Kill player
cg_laserlight 1 - To draw the light emitted from the laser
take ammo - Removes your ammo
take all - Removes all your guns and health
sf_use_ignoreammo 1 - Allows you to shoot without reloading.

I do not see how any of this will enhance one's game.

idk about this i never liked cheats no metter one player uses them or hole team its still cheating
so id say lets make it like test for now if ppl will like it after 1 week we leave it if not then we just remove it

I'm going to have to agree that if we allow any cheats....it will become a trend and an unstoppable force. I say keep with no console commands...and tembanning for god/demigod. Members can mess with cheats if they like when they are in the server alone....but I think it would be better to not let cheating become rampant on the server. Not a good reputation. Not to mention it attracts assholes...

I disagree.

It's an isolated server using a mod. It's a modded game.

These are supposed to be fun and different. Sure it will attract some unwanted people, but they come in anyways.

I think using laser mode and what not would add fun.

I really don't think rep would play any part in it.

no, if we have one server that allows cheating, the people would think that our other servers are too.

If we allow certain commands such as laser sighting and what not but still ban for god mode and others, i don't see how those people would get the impression we allow cheating. I don't even look at the laser sight as a cheat. Just seems like a cool add on.

Look at the ban lists page. Don't really think people are going to all of a sudden start spreading the word through the secret COD underground to go cheat on KKK servers.

hm i have to agree with both sides since cheating shouldn't be allowed but at the same time it would be cool to have laser and stuff
