Patch 1.7 and you! Moving March 15th!!

Hello everyone,

The staff and I have decided it is best if we moved our servers and Krew to patch 1.7. We don't have an exact date on when exactly the move will be but it's gonna happen sometime after March 15th! It's about a month away from now at the very least! Keep an eye out for more news to come!

I will be making patch 1.7 available after we decided on the day of the move.

If you have any questions, comments, bitching, anything, post them here.

What does that mean? please expain...im clueless is the 1.7 like cod4 versions? cuz i have a 1.6 version... if thats what i thunk it is, im still able to play on the servers right? whats the differnece between the versions anyway...

OK, for all of you who don't know.

v1.7 has more servers, therefore more people. When we move up, we are taking the servers with us so yes, you will be able to play.

To move to version 1.7, all you have to do is go to google.com and type in "CoD4 1.7 patch".

To go BACK to version 1.6 (if you ever need/want to) just uninstall CoD4 and re-install. Make sure that you save the accounts and data.

is the patch going to be hosted by us aswell as it can take ages to download sometimes

I think it would be a good idea to send out a Krew wide PM and or Email explaining what a patch is, what patch 1.7 is and step by step instructions on how to download and install the patch. I think there are a lot of members who might need this help.

I'm one of them, i still havent been able to load the latest COD:World At War patch! BOOOO!

Im another one damage... btw do all krew members get emails? cuz i remember the email topic on the foums somewere, ust wondering if all keew membrs get em

No need to eMail you Dustyn. They should just post it here where it belongs. You never know, someone might have the question later down the road and the next person wont have to ask the same question over, it'll just be here. :)

Pug, I'll be uploading the patch on our hosting site and in a few weeks or so, I'll be asking for some testers to see how fast/slow it takes to download the patch. It shouldn't take too long because not very many people outside of the Krew will know about the link anyway.

Damage, there will be plenty of time given so people are aware of the switch. I plan to be detailed when instructing on making the switch. Might even make a video if I get enough time.

Either way, this is just a heads-up so people aren't surprised by it. I also changed the console message. ;D

Alrighty, I'll make I video, because I still have the patch installed, just not extracted. McFoe, what version of WaW are you trying to patch to?

hmm if we go with waw as well dose that mean we will be running all games with latest patch

I'm not sure, but if they have v1.8 in WaW, I most likely won't go to it because I have friends in v1.7. But if we do, it's totally up to WaLLy.

Yeah I was with Cent0 too about the patch, I had an idea of what was going on but not sure. Now I know cuz you guys explained it pretty good, so good job! :)

yes, on March 15th the downloads/ installs will commence. Expect a how-to upgrade a few days before the actual upgrade. I will not give out a download patch for 1.7 just yet just to avoid any confusion.

All you and everyone else on our Krew has to do, is come sometime March 14th in the evening, download the patch, install the patch, and play like normal. That's it. Our servers, will still be in your favorites. Quite easy right? :)

PS. Anyone on Cable/DSL Internet should see a download time of 1-5 minutes. The patch is about 37MB's.
