CoD: BO KEEPS FREEZING!

My black ops keeps freezing, i cant go past the start menu, no matter what i do. this started yesterday... any suggestions?

Dude...that happens to me too! Talk about frustration. The only thing I can do is control alt delete out and end the process....then I have to restart the game and everything....very time consuming. Me no like... waiting for a good patch

i cant even play the damn game. it freezes no matter what, right now im defragging and stuff, hopefully it works. i also changed my cfg files and it didnt work. BO needs a new patch

Ah nick you're just now getting these problems? If you look at the steam forums you can see alot of threads relating to various BO crashes and freezes. It just started working for me, and idk if it was the latest patch or because I switched internet providers. Most people say it has something to do with dual core CPUs though. If you made any changes to your system lately try changing it back to see if that helps.

i just cleaned up my registry and defragged and crap. i have a triple core not dual core

It happened to me yesterday as well. I restarted the PC and it seemed like it fixed it.

No problems since.

Be careful playing around with the registry Nick.

I've had days when BO freezes and crashes 3 or 4 times in 20 mins, and days it works fine for hours.
