This is my ultimate solution:

I pretty much carry one of these when I know if I'll be out long and my phone will die out.

I don't carry the outlet, just the USB. It's not so hard to find a USB plug. I was at my in-laws last night and I could of easily had it charged but I just didn't feel like it lol
