I was surfing the net looking at some cases and saw a feature I liked. I saw some cases had a PSU cover to isolate it from the rest of the case and also helps hide wires. So I took some measurements, made a template out of cardboard, some supplies from home depot and started hacking away. It's not perfect but good enough. Gives it a cleaner look and hides the wires. I will be making a few more mods over the next week. My goal is to make it look as clean as possible. Here we go.....

1st pic is before mod
2nd pic is template
3rd pic is after

That's a little too much for me. I would rather keep the fans. ;) Besides, at least in my household not many people will be looking at the inside of my case. Oh and on my PSU, there's a fan on top of it so I'd pretty be doing more harm than any good.

Looking clean though!

LOL, I still have 7 fans! There is a fan under the cover I made. Our case has the benefit of having the psu on the bottom so the hot air from the psu gets blown out the case. The main benefit here is isolation with the side benefit of hiding the wires. I have 2 more pieces I am building that go with this one. They will add 2 more fans and clean up the drive bays. My fans are reversed flow due to the H50 cooler. Mine draws air from the back of the case and blows it out the front. Once I finish the other pieces they will compliment the airflow in my case. The case should be a few degrees cooler once I'm done. Today I hit 21c idle @ 3.4Ghz with a max of 37c gaming.
