I have the AMD 965BE and it rocks. I have OC'd to 3.8 wih my H50 CPU cooler. Some ppl can get 4.0 stable with liquid cooling. If you go AMD make sure you get the newer 125w version, runs a bit cooler. I have the older 130w version. I get no higher than 42c under load and idle as low as 22c sometimes lower. I have a Gigabyte MB, 8G ram and my WEI score from win7 range from 7.4 to 7.5 with the low score being 5.9 on my HD. An ssd will easily get 7.4 or higher. Oh, make sure you get a modular PSU, I will never go back to a standard PSU. Good luck!

I'm partial to the AMD, but of late they don't seem to be as innovative as Intel.

If I were to build another gaming rig, I would prolly go Intel, with an Intel chipset mobo, as you tend to have less compatibility problems. Having said that, an AMD CPU might work better with newer ATI cards as ATI is now AMD.

Why not go with an i7 CPU?
